Don Bosco Hotel School created and managed by
Don Bosco Foundation (donboscokhmer. org) was
inaugurated in 2007 by His Majesty,King Norodom Sihamoni.
As tourism is becoming one of the most important and
fastest growing industries in Cambodia,Don Bosco
catches up with this promising trend and the same time
supports the disadvantaged Cambodian youth by
providing them a thorough education in the hospitality

Don Bosco Hotel School is not just a school but also
a real hotel where the students learn via on the job training,

in various sections, such as: Culinary,Food & Beverage, Housekeeping and Front Office; under the supervision of qualified and experienced Cambodia teachers and volunteer teachers from all over the world specialised in the hospitality, English, tourism and computer skills.

The program runs over two years which includes theoretical education and a lot of practice within the classes and on the job
training serving the guests. As an extra on the job training we send our students for a three month internship to first
class hotels and resorts all over Cambodia. Since 2007, more than 500 students have completed the 2 years program.
At present, the hotel school has150 students(90 first year, 60 second year).

After having successfully passed the final exam, students will receive an officially recognized certificate.
Don Bosco Hotel School responds to the needs of the Cambodian youth by offering them a high
quality professional education that prepares them for work and for life, which benefit not only Cambodia but
potentially to other societies as well. Candidates from Don Bosco Hotel and School are eminently employable

through holistic professional education, which transforms its students, reaches out to their families, and helps to
improve society. It does this by appealing to the inner gifts of the young, and by emphasizing spiritual and

DBFC belongs to the Salesian Congregation of Don Bosco ( . It started in the Khmer refugee camps in Thailand in the 1980s through experiences of technical schools for children and youth thanks to the support of the United Nations,
other organizations and a good number of benefactors that answered the needs of the Cambodian families that fled the war in those troublesome years. Don Bosco was invited in 1990 by the Royal Government to open technical schools in Cambodia. In 1991 DBFC opened Don Bosco Technical School in Phnom Penh.

It was the first project of many others to come in technical education, children sponsorship, schools rebuilding and youth
centers.The purpose of Don Bosco Foundation is to train orphans and poor youth in skills they can use to get a job so that they can get out of the circle of poverty and contribute to the new Cambodia.Between 1991 and 2010, Don Bosco has supported more than 50,000 Cambodian children and youth in different programs and with the association of other organizations, for their basic education.You are encourage to visit our works in Cambodia and, in
